Jori III moved in when Tami was 2 years old. Jori had four brothers: Geroi, Godunow, Goran and Grom. He was a half brother to Tami; they had the same dam but different sires, but they were very different from each other, like day and night. Jori was a very strong character and he took the crown right from the beginning. He liked to boss Tami and if Jori wasn't very hungry, Tami was not allowed to eat either, Jori was staring at him so badly that poor Tami lost his appetite. However, in those days Jori was quickly transferred behind the closed door so that Tami was able to eat. He didn't let Tami even play without him, and when they played, it should have gone the way that Jori liked. What a nice guy!
Jori was too smart for his own good, and he used his brains for destroying things. He focused mainly on curtains and on opening everything which was closed: he was an expert on opening all doors and drawers, and he even emptied our freezer a couple of times! Our home was sometimes looking like there has been a bomb: the curtains were lying on the floor, some soil from my flower pots was added on them and finally some flour mixed in between to make a beautiful piece of art. What a mess! Those days I was cleaning more than ever! Jori was also very nosy; he had to check the content of the drawers at least a couple of times a week. He didn't take the items or break them but he just wanted to know what each drawer contained. I wasn't too happy when he emptied the freezer. Sometimes there was melted, half eaten food on the floor and blueberry juice on the rugs. Once he even took a bottle of wine from kitchen cabinet and that bottle was standing in the middle of living room floor, luckily he didn't manage to break it! The dogs certainly had great parties while I was at work! I always knew when they had a day like that; nobody came to say hello when I arrived at home, and in those days it was quite scary to go any further back. Nowadays those coups sound funny, but back then I was sometimes quite close to tears.
Jori wasn't much of a show star, so he attended dog shows only a couple of times. But I certainly liked his character, he was quite a crook and sometimes like a little devil, but enchanted everybody if he wished to! He used to smile widely to people, especially if somebody said something nice to him. Then the people looked at me in quite a strange way when I tried to explain than he was only smiling!
Jori died far too early, only one day prior to his 3rd birthday. First he got infectious stomach flu, and then a protein-loosing enteropatia, which finally took him up there to chase the cloud bunnies.
